Charles Tyrwhitt x The Six Nations The Six Nations is six weeks where rugby isn't just sport, it's identity. Charles Tyrwhitt's partnership with England Rugby put the brand inside that moment. The creative thinking was built around finding points of harmony and contrast between the two worlds, a heritage menswear brand and elite sport, and using that tension to make the content feel like a new perspective into this world.

England Rugby, Pancakes & Pizza. Cooking as a disarming device: a Pennyhill chef, England players, a kitchen. Concepts anchored to the tournament calendar, Pancake Day, pizza making timed to the Italy fixture. I developed the creative concept and photo treatment around a high-flash, point-and-shoot aesthetic, deliberately raw to contrast with the norms of sport photography environment.

The thinking was to use cooking as a disarming device, creating a setting informal and playful enough to bring out genuine energy from the players. A Pennyhill Park chef, England players, a kitchen. Concepts anchored to the tournament calendar: Pancake Day first, then pizza making timed to the Italy fixture.

Working within the wider campaign shoot, I identified a social content opportunity and built the concepts around it. The hero idea: sit Matt Dawson and Marcus Smith down to rewatch iconic moments from their respective Six Nations careers.

Two generations, shared history, natural chemistry. All set in the epic frame of an empty Allianz stand. Alongside this, lo-fi disposable cameras were used to capture authentic BTS, an intentional contrast to the polished campaign content being shot in the same space. All this + a tongue-in-cheek comment reaction video gave audiences a 360 experience of this epic moment in time.
